The Vally Rattler

Gympies Valley Rattler........A recent day trip and Review

The Rattler's spectacular journey begins at historic Gympie Railway Station. Built in 1913, the station building is a living tribute to Gympie and Cooloola's golden rail heritage which began in the 1870's and is a link to the region's "Golden" past.
Passing through Gympie City, its southern suburbs and the station at Monkland, The Rattler crosses the Mary River. The journey continues into the scenic Mary Valley where the railway line negotiates the steep slopes of the Mary River, offering spectacular views. Throughout the Rattler's journey, the traveller can experience rural life and view commercial dairies, livestock enterprises and the farms of the steep slopes of the Mary Valley which produce pineapples, macadamias and other crops.
The Mary Valley line has an abundance of curves, gradients and bridges. These are evidence of the hard work that was needed to build the railway line before and during the First World War. The Mary Valley line includes stations at the villages of Dagun, Amamoor, Kandanga and Imbil. The Rattler stops at these fully restored, landscaped and original stations where good, old fashioned country hospitality can be enjoyed. This was a fantastic Train ride and must for any great outdoors person 4.5 stars.

Beauty and the Geeks......Shit hot TV

Well I managed to get a glimpse at the new TV show beauty and the Geeks and let me tell you if you like corny TV you will love this stuff, started out their first task was for the beautys to make a flying device made of several parts that they had to put together like a puzzel.......this was painful to watch as a  4 year old could of prob worked this one out and put it together quicker.
IT did get more entertaining though as the geeks come out in spandex suits, one of them even whereing a chicken suit........soo the idea of this is they ride, fly, and push their flying device made by their partner beauty off a 6metre drop into the harbour......and the winner is the one who leaps out the furtherest distance.
Now this was entertaining watching this geeks facial expressions as they leap and bellyflop, head dive and generally make a dick off themselves on national TV. One geek even injuring himself and rescue divers have to pull him to dry land !

So if you do get the chance check it out for a good lough...... its worth it!!!!
